Public AI outcome ledger

What follows public AI funding?

This outcome chain connects funding, organizations, projects, reported outputs and observed citations. Every edge requires an exact identifier and provenance evidence.

Sequence is not proof of impact

This view documents observed relations. It does not claim that funding caused an output, or that a citation proves social or economic impact.

Observed chain

From funding evidence to observed reuse

The stages carry different meanings. Project and participant edges use CORDIS identifiers; research outputs connect through exact project grant identifiers.

Output and citation values are project aggregates. They are not attributed to individual participants.

Every input keeps its own timestamp

The projection's data date does not replace individual source dates.

Frequently asked questions

Does the ledger measure project success?
No. It documents funding, reported outputs and observed reuse. This is neither a quality judgement nor a causal impact claim.
Why are outputs not attributed to individual organizations?
The current exact link runs from the grant identifier to the project output. Without reliable author or organization identifiers, assigning an output to one project participant would be speculation.
Why are patents and procurement missing from many chains?
Both lanes appear only when an exact project- or organization-level identifier crosswalk exists. Similar names are not sufficient.
Is the chain generated with generative AI?
No. Collection, normalization, linking and presentation are deterministic. Uncertain identities remain in a separate review queue.

Want to track public AI funding with defensible evidence?

We build evidence graphs and longitudinal datasets with conservative identity rules and verifiable provenance.
