Terms of Use

These terms govern how you may use i6eal.de — the tools, the open data and the editorial content. They are deliberately short, because the offering is simple: free, no account, no contract.

1. Provider and scope

This website is operated by Syka Ventures UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Oberer Rennebaum 7, 34369 Hofgeismar, Germany, registered at the Local Court of Kassel under HRB 20602. Full details are in the imprint.

These terms apply to i6eal.de including all subpages, the tools offered there, the data interfaces published under /data/ and /openapi.json, and the editorial content in the newsroom and knowledge sections. Our privacy policy applies in addition to the processing of personal data.

Where we provide services to you under a separate contract, the terms of that contract take precedence over these terms.

2. What you get here — and what you do not

All tools and data on i6eal.de are free and usable without registration. There is no user account, no payment function and no way to publish your own content. No contract for the use of the tools arises as a result.

Some tools run entirely in your browser; your input does not leave your device. Where that is the case, the page says so. The remaining tools fetch data from our own interfaces in order to display it; there too no registration is required and you submit no content.

There is no entitlement to availability. We may change, restrict or discontinue individual tools, datasets or pages at any time. Where a tool is permanently retired, we aim to redirect its address to a sensible successor page rather than let it dead-end.

3. Orientation, not advice

The content of this website is provided for information and initial orientation. It does not replace legal, tax or professional advice, nor a conformity assessment. This applies in particular to the EU AI Act tools: they map the wording of the relevant regulation onto a traceable decision tree, but they do not make a binding classification of your specific case.

What governs is always the official text of the relevant legislation and the decision of the competent authority or a court. Wherever we state deadlines, provisions or a legal position, we also state the date they refer to. Check that date before you rely on any statement.

Our monitors and radars are analyses of official sources — not original research and not our own risk assessment. Where a source contains self-declarations, such as authorities' own risk classifications, they remain self-declarations even when we display them.

4. Fair use of the tools and interfaces

You may use the tools and the open data interfaces privately, editorially, academically and commercially. We ask only for fair use: no automated requests at a frequency that impairs operation, no circumvention of technical protection measures, no attempt to disrupt the website or the infrastructure behind it.

For regular machine use, the files under /data/ and the OpenAPI description at /openapi.json are the intended route. They are static and cacheable — one request per update is enough, and each dataset states its update frequency.

Use of the website for unlawful purposes is not permitted, nor is any use that creates the impression that we have checked, endorsed or taken responsibility for a result which we have not checked, endorsed or taken responsibility for.

5. Open data and licence

The compilation we create, its structure and our own descriptive texts are licensed under Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). You may share and adapt them, including commercially, as long as you credit i6eal as the source and link to the page you used.

That licence is expressly not a blanket licence over the underlying data. The source datasets come from official and public bodies and remain subject to the rights and reuse terms of the body named in each case. Every dataset lists its sources and their rights status individually; check them before reusing source records.

The full licensing notes and source register are at /tools/data/.

6. Rights in the remaining content

Where content is not expressly covered by the licence above — such as the site design, logos, imagery and editorial articles in the newsroom and knowledge sections — it is protected by copyright. Quotation to the customary extent with attribution and a link is of course permitted.

For use beyond that, such as republishing an article in full, drop us a line. We will almost always agree, but we would like to know where our content appears.

7. Links to external sites

This website links to official sources and external services in many places. We have no influence over their content and do not adopt it as our own. At the time of linking, no legal infringement was apparent to us; if one is brought to our attention, we remove the link.

Official sources change their addresses. If a link dead-ends, please tell us — that is as useful for our datasets as it is for you.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, for fraudulent concealment of a defect, and under the German Product Liability Act.

In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper use possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely — and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability is otherwise excluded.

We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or currency of the data presented. It originates from third-party sources which change, may contain errors and may be incomplete. All information without warranty.

These limitations do not apply to mandatory statutory claims and do not affect your rights as a consumer.

9. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another Member State of the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your state of residence remain unaffected.

If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from use of this website is our registered office in Hofgeismar.

10. Changes and status

We may amend these terms where the offering changes or the legal situation requires it. The version applicable is the one published on this page at the time of your use; we do not keep earlier versions publicly available.

We answer questions about these terms by email at ai@i6eal.de.

These terms of use are dated 28 July 2026. Note: the German version of these terms is authoritative.
