Frequently asked questions

Does the ledger measure project success?
No. It documents funding, reported outputs and observed reuse. This is neither a quality judgement nor a causal impact claim.
Why are outputs not attributed to individual organizations?
The current exact link runs from the grant identifier to the project output. Without reliable author or organization identifiers, assigning an output to one project participant would be speculation.
Why are patents and procurement missing from many chains?
Both lanes appear only when an exact project- or organization-level identifier crosswalk exists. Similar names are not sufficient.
Is the chain generated with generative AI?
No. Collection, normalization, linking and presentation are deterministic. Uncertain identities remain in a separate review queue.
