German Federal Employment Agency – job search

We measure the number of open job postings that name a tool (German Federal Employment Agency, keyword search). Brand names are used as the search term; occasional ambiguity is possible. Strongly ambiguous terms (e.g. “Make”, “Cursor”) are deliberately excluded. Not an official statistic.

Frequently asked questions

What does the AI Tool Index show?

How often German employers name specific AI tools in open job postings – ranked by number of hits. The data updates automatically.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the official job-search interface of the German Federal Employment Agency. For each tool we count the open jobs that mention its name.

How is this different from the AI Jobs Index?

The AI Jobs Index ranks competencies and fields (artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science …). The AI Tool Index ranks named products (ChatGPT, Copilot, Midjourney …).

Why are some well-known tools missing?

We deliberately leave out strongly ambiguous names whose counts would be distorted by non-AI words (e.g. “Make”, “Cursor”, “Runway”). Better a few clean numbers than many false ones.

Are the numbers exact?

It is a keyword count, not an audit. It reliably shows trends and orders of magnitude; individual hits may be ambiguous. That’s why we name the source openly and review the terms regularly.
