Training and Safety
xAI developed Grok 4.6 with extended supplemental training runs using curated, model-generated data for reasoning and technical concepts. The company also used Grok 4.5 to regenerate supervised fine-tuning trajectories across different reasoning levels and domains (STEM, software engineering, knowledge work).

Grok 4.3 joined Bedrock and was accessible via Bedrock Mantle (OpenAI-compatible inference engine). Grok 4.6 significantly expands this integration: the model runs on two different endpoints and supports multiple API standards. This makes it more flexible for developers – whether via OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions or Amazon's native Converse API.
