# i6eal — open evidence on artificial intelligence in Germany and the EU

> i6eal publishes source-evidenced, machine-readable datasets about artificial
> intelligence in the German and European public sector: procurement procedures,
> federal budget titles, court decisions, supervisory authorities, standardisation

## How to read and quote this data

- Records are joined on exact official identifiers only — TED/OCDS notice ids,
  MaKI record ids, CORDIS PIC, ECLI, federal budget title numbers. A shared or
  similar name never creates a link between two records.
- Absence is stated, never inferred. `not_publicly_linked` means no public
  evidence of that link was found. It does not mean the link does not exist.
- Source coverage (when the official record happened) and observation period
  (since when i6eal has been watching) are different dates, reported separately.
  An older source date never makes the observation history older.
- Every figure has a data state. Quote the number together with its date.
- The counts below are the state at the last site build. The authoritative
  current value is always in the dataset's own index.json.

## What this site deliberately does not publish

- No compliance scores, readiness rankings or effectiveness ratings for any
  authority, state or provider.
- No inferred links. Where a system, a contract and a repository share no official
  identifier, they stay unjoined and the gap is named in the record.
- No claim that a register is complete. The public AI systems below are what
  German authorities reported to the federal MaKI register — not an estimate of
  how many exist.
- No live-uptime claims. A dataset's state is its operating model (automated
  collection, derived projection, reviewed baseline, collector paused), not a
  health signal.

Some tools on this site are not catalogued as datasets and therefore do not appear
above — the MaKI register mirror (https://i6eal.de/tools/ki-verwaltungsradar/) among them,
pending a redistribution determination with the source operator. Their absence from
this list is a rights question, not evidence that the data does not exist.
